Bass Fishing on Tupper Lake

Here is a picture of my son Nick holding a nice bass caught on Tupper Lake in Ionia County, Michigan.

Nick caught this beauty on a sunny day last summer, drifting the weed line in a canoe. Bait was a Shad Rap by Rapala. He had cast out, and was letting the wind drift him along the weed line when this 5 pound beauty took the bait.

Nick is an avid fisherman, and is also the breeder for King Discus. Nick has been breeding and keeping tropical fish for a number of years, and specializes in cichlids. He is now study ing to be an RN. Check out his site Cichlids For Dummies if cichlids are of interest to you.

Tupper Lake is a private lake, but there is a channel to the lake from Jordan Lake. It is definitely not over-fished, and they have bass tournaments there on ocassions. Check em out...

Bass Fishing Home Page

With my sons being avid fishermen, and living in some pretty darn good bass country, I have decided to begin a blog dedicated to the sport of bass fishing.

I want to post some decent articles, some good pix, and the like. Don't know where the blog will go, don't care. I just want to share some fun and exciting things with the GP.

Look for good stuff here. I spend the entire time on the web, and love every minute of it...

Peace,

Charlie~
